Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable backend services and APIs to support high-volume night operations.
- Monitor system health, performance metrics, and logs to proactively identify and resolve technical issues.
- Collaborate with day-shift teams to ensure seamless handovers and documentation of system states.
- Optimize database queries and application code to improve efficiency and reduce latency during peak loads.
- Implement and maintain security protocols to protect sensitive data during off-hours processing.
- Participate in code reviews and technical architecture planning for future system enhancements.
- Conduct root cause analysis for critical incidents and implement long-term preventative measures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Proven experience as a Software Engineer with proficiency in languages such as Python, Java, or Go.
- Strong experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on debugging complex issues.
- Ability to work independently and effectively during the night shift (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
