Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure using AWS/GCP services
- Lead incident response for production systems during overnight hours
- Automate deployment pipelines using CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI)
- Collaborate with global teams to implement security best practices
- Optimize system performance and cost-efficiency metrics
- Mentor junior engineers through rotational knowledge-sharing sessions
- Contribute to 24/7 on-call rotation (shared team responsibility)
Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in cloud infrastructure engineering (AWS/GCP)
- Expertise in container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker)
- Strong proficiency in at least one modern language (Python, Go, or Java)
- CI/CD pipeline implementation experience (Terraform, Ansible)
- Knowledge of monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog)
- Shift work experience preferred but not required
- Ability to work independently during overnight hours
- Strong problem-solving skills for complex distributed systems
