Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain high-performance backend services using Java and Python
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement API integrations
- Optimize database queries and troubleshoot production issues during night hours
- Participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning and retrospectives
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical documentation
- Monitor system health and implement automated solutions for operational excellence
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of experience in backend development
- Proficiency in Java, Python, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Experience with microservices architecture and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Comfortable working night shifts (10 PM - 6 AM MST)
- Excellent communication skills for remote collaboration
