Responsibilities
- Design and implement high-performance backend services using microservices architecture
- Optimize database queries and infrastructure for 24/7 operational efficiency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams via asynchronous communication tools
- Lead CI/CD pipeline improvements for night shift deployment windows
- Conduct code reviews and mentor junior engineers during off-peak hours
- Resolve critical production issues during overnight maintenance windows
- Document system architecture and create technical runbooks
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in backend development (Python/Java/Go)
- Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and containerization
- Strong background in distributed systems and API design
- Proven track record of optimizing for high-availability systems
- Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus/Grafana) and incident response
- Ability to work independently during overnight shifts (10 PM - 6 AM)
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent technical certification
