In this role, you will play a pivotal part in our defense-in-depth strategy, monitoring for threats, analyzing security logs, and assisting in the remediation of vulnerabilities. We offer a comprehensive training program and a clear path for professional growth in the cybersecurity field.
Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to identify potential threats.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and assist in penetration testing efforts for internal and external systems.
- Respond to security incidents and alerts, documenting findings and escalating issues to senior analysts when necessary.
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Support compliance activities related to GDPR, CCPA, and internal security policies.
- Participate in regular security awareness training and simulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field (or equivalent military experience).
- Entry-level candidates with relevant internship experience are highly encouraged to apply.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, OSI model).
- Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems and command-line interfaces.
- Knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST, CIS Controls, or ISO 27001 is a plus.
- Certifications such as Security+, Network+, or SSCP are preferred but not required for entry-level candidates.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure.
