Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning and scenario planning to identify emerging trends impacting our industry through 2030
- Develop and implement strategic innovation frameworks to accelerate R&D pipeline and market disruption
- Partner with product, engineering, and marketing teams to prototype future-facing solutions
- Deliver executive briefings and trend reports translating complex futures into actionable business strategies
- Establish cross-functional innovation labs and mentor teams in futures thinking methodologies
- Drive corporate foresight initiatives including technology roadmapping and competitive landscape analysis
- Represent the company at global futurist forums and thought leadership platforms
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic planning, innovation management, or futurist consulting
- Proven track record of translating foresight into successful product launches or market pivots
- Expertise in trend analysis, scenario planning, and systems thinking methodologies
- Deep knowledge of exponential technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech) and societal shifts
- Exceptional storytelling and presentation skills for executive and stakeholder audiences
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Business Strategy, or related field preferred
- Published thought leadership in futurism or innovation (whitepapers, books, keynotes)
- Experience scaling innovation programs in enterprise environments
