Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year technology roadmaps for emerging sectors including quantum AI, biotech convergence, and decentralized systems
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives with $2M+ annual budgets
- Conduct horizon scanning for disruptive technologies and market disruptions
- Present strategic briefings to C-suite and board of directors quarterly
- Build and manage partnerships with academic institutions and startups
- Drive ethical frameworks for next-gen AI and automation systems
- Lead patent strategy for proprietary innovations
- Mentor technical teams on future-proofing methodologies
Qualifications
- 15+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership with 5+ years in emerging tech
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futuristics
- Proven track record launching products with 10M+ users or $100M+ revenue
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum, AI, AR/VR, etc.)
- Experience with regulatory frameworks for emerging technologies
- Exceptional presentation skills for executive audiences
- Published research or patents in future technology fields
- Fluency in scenario planning and technology forecasting methodologies
