Responsibilities
- Lead horizon-scanning initiatives to identify and evaluate emerging technologies with 5-10 year market impact
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive technology roadmap aligned with long-term business objectives
- Champion innovation labs and pilot programs for breakthrough technologies (quantum computing, neural interfaces, etc.)
- Conduct competitive analysis and threat assessments for future technology landscapes
- Present strategic recommendations to C-suite executives and board members
- Build and mentor a team of futurists and technology analysts
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and research labs
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, R&D management, or innovation leadership
- Proven track record of successfully implementing future-focused initiatives
- Deep expertise in emerging technologies (AI, quantum, biotech, AR/VR)
- Exceptional strategic planning and scenario modeling capabilities
- Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Business
- Experience with technology forecasting methodologies (Delphi, horizon scanning)
- Certification in Innovation Management or Technology Strategy preferred
