Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Investigate potential security incidents and document findings
- Assist with vulnerability scanning and penetration testing
- Implement security controls and firewall configurations
- Support compliance initiatives (NIST, HIPAA, GDPR)
- Collaborate with IT teams on security best practices
- Participate in threat hunting exercises and threat intelligence analysis
- Prepare security incident reports and remediation plans
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification preferred
- Familiarity with network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP)
- Basic knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux)
- Understanding of common security frameworks
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
