Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for suspicious activity
- Assist with vulnerability assessments and penetration testing exercises
- Document security incidents and contribute to incident response playbooks
- Implement firewall configurations and access control policies under supervision
- Participate in security awareness training campaigns for employees
- Analyze malware samples and contribute to threat intelligence reports
- Support compliance audits for NIST, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS frameworks
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification preferred
- Familiarity with Windows/Linux operating systems and networking basics
- Basic understanding of TCP/IP protocols and network architecture
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
