Responsibilities
- Assist in Data Collection: Gather and compile data from various internal and external sources, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Perform Basic Analysis: Use statistical methods to analyze datasets, identifying trends, patterns, and anomalies that impact business performance.
- Create Visualizations: Develop clear, concise charts and graphs using Tableau or PowerBI to present data findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Maintain Databases: Help clean, format, and organize data in spreadsheets and databases to ensure high data quality standards.
- Generate Reports: Prepare weekly or monthly performance reports highlighting key metrics and KPIs for management review.
- Support Projects: Collaborate with the marketing and operations teams to support ad-hoc data requests and special projects.
- Learn & Adapt: Continuously improve technical skills by staying updated on new data analysis tools and best practices.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or a related quantitative field. Recent graduates are highly encouraged to apply.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Index/Match). Familiarity with SQL or Python is a plus but not required.
- Analytical Skills: Demonstrated ability to think critically and solve problems using quantitative reasoning.
- Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail when handling large volumes of data to ensure precision.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex data concepts simply.
- Tool Agnosticism: Willingness to learn new software and data visualization tools quickly.
- Location: Must be based in or willing to commute to San Diego, CA.
