Responsibilities
- Analyze large datasets using SQL, Python, and R to identify trends and correlations in public sector data
- Design and maintain interactive dashboards using Tableau and Power BI for executive stakeholders
- Conduct A/B testing and statistical modeling to evaluate policy interventions and program effectiveness
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Present findings to senior leadership through compelling visual reports and data narratives
- Ensure data integrity through rigorous validation protocols and documentation practices
- Stay current with emerging analytics techniques and tools applicable to government data ecosystems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of professional experience in data analysis with government/public sector exposure
- Expert proficiency in SQL, Python (Pandas, NumPy), and statistical analysis tools
- Advanced skills in data visualization (Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js)
- Strong understanding of data privacy regulations (FISMA, GDPR) and ethical data practices
- Experience working with public datasets (e.g., Census, CDC, IRS)
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to translate technical insights for non-technical audiences
