Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts from SIEM systems during night shifts (11 PM - 7 AM)
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, including malware analysis and threat hunting
- Document incident reports using NIST frameworks and compliance standards
- Collaborate with day-shift teams for seamless incident handover and continuity
- Conduct vulnerability scans and penetration testing on critical assets
- Update security policies and procedures based on emerging threats
- Participate in quarterly tabletop exercises for incident response optimization
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years in SOC operations, threat detection, or incident response
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification (required)
- Proficiency in SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and IDS/IPS tools
- Experience with Windows/Linux system hardening and network protocols
- Ability to work independently during high-pressure night-shift scenarios
- Knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK framework and threat intelligence sources
- Valid driver's license for occasional on-call rotations
