Responsibilities
- Implement and manage advanced security measures including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection platforms
- Conduct proactive vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across enterprise systems
- Lead incident response operations for security breaches and digital forensics investigations
- Develop and maintain comprehensive security documentation and compliance frameworks
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate security best practices into development lifecycle
- Monitor security alerts using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and analyze threat intelligence
- Design and execute secure network architecture solutions for Fortune 500 clients
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity engineering or SOC operations
- Active CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ certification (required)
- Expertise in network security protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN) and cloud security (AWS/Azure)
- Proficiency with security tools: Splunk, Wireshark, Metasploit, and vulnerability scanners
- Strong scripting skills (Python, PowerShell) for automation of security tasks
- Experience with NIST frameworks and regulatory compliance (HIPAA, PCI-DSS)
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple security incidents simultaneously
