Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security threats using SIEM platforms like Splunk or QRadar
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Develop incident response plans and lead breach mitigation efforts
- Implement and maintain firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, and encryption protocols
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST and ISO 27001 standards
- Document security procedures and create executive-level threat reports
- Stay updated on emerging cyber threats and defensive technologies
Qualifications
- 3+ years of cybersecurity experience with focus on threat detection
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification preferred
- Proficiency in network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S)
- Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) environments
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (HIPAA, GDPR, PCI-DSS)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
