Responsibilities
- Threat Monitoring: Continuously monitor security alerts and SIEM dashboards to identify potential threats in real-time.
- Incident Response: Lead the investigation, containment, and remediation of security breaches and cyber incidents.
- Log Analysis: Perform deep-dive analysis of system logs and network traffic to detect anomalies and suspicious activities.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify security weaknesses.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to industry standards such as ISO 27001, HIPAA, or PCI-DSS as applicable.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH preferred.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in a SOC environment or information security role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar), firewalls, and IDS/IPS.
- Programming: Strong scripting skills in Python or PowerShell.
