Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and prioritize critical incidents
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Document security incidents, mitigation actions, and compliance reports
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Analyze malware behavior and develop countermeasures for emerging threats
- Stay current on cybersecurity trends and regulatory requirements (NYDFS, HIPAA)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in security operations or threat intelligence
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification (preferred)
- Proficiency in network protocols, firewalls, and endpoint security tools
- Strong analytical skills with experience in log analysis and forensics
- Excellent written communication for reporting and documentation
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
