Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) during overnight operations
- Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents with 15-minute SLA for critical events
- Perform vulnerability scans and penetration testing on enterprise systems
- Collaborate with global security teams to implement threat mitigation strategies
- Document incident reports and security procedures in compliance with NIST frameworks
- Conduct forensic analysis on compromised systems and malware samples
- Provide 24/7 Tier-3 support for security operations center (SOC) escalations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on SOC/Security Operations experience
- Active CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+ certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and EDR solutions
- Knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (Mandiant, Recorded Future)
- Ability to work independently during overnight hours with minimal supervision
- Strong written communication skills for incident reporting
