Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts across SIEM platforms during night shifts (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Investigate and respond to security incidents including malware, intrusion attempts, and data breaches
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on client networks
- Collaborate with incident response teams during security emergencies
- Generate comprehensive security reports and recommend preventive measures
- Stay current with emerging threats and defensive technologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in SOC or incident response roles
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency with SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and EDR solutions
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and threat intelligence
- Ability to work independently during night shifts with minimal supervision
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for incident reporting
