Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for suspicious activity during night shift hours
- Investigate and respond to security incidents using forensic tools and established protocols
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Document incident reports, security events, and mitigation procedures
- Stay current with emerging threats and defensive technologies through continuous training
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience, preferably in SOC or incident response
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC certification preferred
- Proficiency in SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and IDS/IPS systems
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, cloud security, and threat intelligence
- Ability to work independently and make critical decisions under pressure during night shifts
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for incident reporting
