Responsibilities
- Conduct security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests to identify potential weaknesses.
- Monitor security systems (SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR) for anomalies, security incidents, and threat indicators.
- Respond to and investigate security incidents, including forensic analysis, containment, eradication, and recovery.
- Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and best practices in alignment with industry standards.
- Provide expert recommendations for enhancing security posture and mitigating risks.
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate security into system development lifecycles and operational processes.
- Generate comprehensive reports on security incidents, vulnerabilities, and compliance status.
- Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3+ years of progressive experience in cybersecurity operations, incident response, or security analysis.
- Proven experience with security tools such as SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar, Sentinel), vulnerability scanners (Nessus, Qualys), and EDR solutions.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems (Windows, Linux), and cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001) and compliance requirements (HIPAA, PCI DSS).
- Relevant certifications highly preferred (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH, CySA+, GSEC).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced contract environment.
