Responsibilities
- Analyze and forecast emerging technology trends (2026-2030 horizon) through market research, patent analysis, and academic partnerships
- Develop strategic technology roadmaps aligned with business objectives and market disruption potential
- Lead cross-functional workshops to integrate future tech insights into product development cycles
- Present trend reports and strategic recommendations to executive stakeholders and board members
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions, startups, and think tanks for trend validation
- Monitor geopolitical and regulatory impacts on technology adoption timelines
- Mentor junior futurists and build internal foresight capabilities
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Technology Management, Computer Science, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or emerging tech research
- Proven track record of translating future trends into actionable business strategies
- Expertise in at least two of: AI ethics, quantum applications, Web3 infrastructure, or climate tech
- Exceptional data visualization and presentation skills with executive audiences
- Published thought leadership in tech journals or industry conferences
- Experience with scenario planning methodologies and horizon scanning frameworks
- Strong network within Silicon Valley tech innovation ecosystems
