Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a 3-year innovation roadmap aligning with 2026 market projections
- Lead R&D initiatives in emerging technologies (quantum AI, biotech integration, neural interfaces)
- Collaborate with C-suite to translate future trends into product strategy
- Manage $2M+ annual innovation budget with ROI-focused allocation
- Build and lead a cross-disciplinary team of futurists, engineers, and designers
- Present quarterly innovation briefings to board stakeholders and investors
- Drive patent development and intellectual property strategy
Qualifications
- 10+ years in product development or innovation leadership
- Expertise in at least two emerging technology domains (AI, quantum, biotech)
- Proven track record of launching future-focused products
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- Experience with agile methodologies in R&D environments
- Strong analytical skills with data-driven decision making
- Exceptional communication for technical and executive audiences
- Certification in Future Studies or Innovation Management preferred
